Merry Christmas

For your  birth we celebrate this coming Tuesday, for coming to earth wrapped in tired, wretched. fleshly humanity for thirty-three years, I thank you.  On earth, where peopled didn’t get it, they weren’t singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy!” or worshiping the God you ARE.  No wonder you rejoiced when loud-mouthed, strong-willed, fisherman Peter experienced a moment of God the Father inspired revelation- “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” (Matt. 16:16)  On this rock [Greek, Petros- a large piece of rock], this revelation, Jesus will build His church, one person at a time.

King Herod of the Jews did not accept the gift of Jesus, but considered him a rival as many of us do, including atheists, determinists, humanists, who want the government to sit upon their own shoulders, especially self-government, not a God who is I AM with the power to heal, kill and create.  Herod lashes out like the hurt insignificant child that he FEELS like and follows in the footsteps of his Father, satan, killing babies, stealing life and destroying families (See Matt. 2)- all this to secure a position that was never his-godship. His plan does not stop the plan of redemption.  It’s like poking a stick at a mountain and hoping it will crumble or trying to throw the earth off its axis by hurling a stone through space.  Humans in the path of the stone or stick may be mortally wounded or suffer, but the plan remains.

All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing.  And He does according to His will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth, and none can stay his hand or say to Him, What are you doing? – Daniel 4:35

So do not fret or worry about anything, God is still in control.  If Christmas is too commercial for you, don’t worry, God can handle it.  If you are focusing more on your do than your WHO, then stop for a moment and think upon these things.  If you are stressed, overworked and overtired from running, baking, wrapping, cleaning and waiting on those who don’t seem to appreciate it, He understands.  He knows what it feels like not to be recognized for who you are.  Take His yoke upon you.  It’s feather-light.  He will refresh and restore your soul, even though it is His birthday we are celebrating.  If you feel like me, a Peter who sometimes sees the throne of heaven, then rejoice, upon this rock the church is built one person at a time.  Merry Christmas!

*I will get back to my series on family following the Christmas/New Year’s Holiday!
Blessings!

The house is back to normal?
hi, I’m Kathleen Guire I know you want quality Christian books for your family. In order to find them, you need to scour the library and bookstores. The problem is- not only is it a lot of work, but you often purchase a NY Times best seller or book recommended by a friend- only to find it has content you don’t want your family consuming. Content you feel as if you need to redact. You may feel as if there aren’t any new clean books that cover culturally relevant topics without graphic sex scenes and F*bombs. I believe books can be culturally relevant and clean at the same time. That’s why I write fiction mystery/thrillers your whole family can read. I write books that are wholesome with moral with value and plot twists at the same time. My characters have quirky coping mechanisms that are equivalent with their experience. All of my fiction books have a human trafficking theme.
